This an ideal buy for someone who owns a rather cheap office desktop, and you are in need for better graphics display.

Like I said, it won’t be a magical upgrade, but it has the capacity to double your graphics performance on top off the integrate graphics that came in initially. If you fancy playing “old but gold” games, then you’ll find some of them to run smoothly.

In addition, this makes everything better for several other graphics-intensive applications. You’ll also find that there are other nifty features to go around with.

For instance, it carries an HDMI output, which is handy as there are other PCs that do not have it. It’s to help you out for an easy connection for displays which have a large format.

As you can see, this card is right in the middle – decent performance that comes in with great value. No serious gamer who’s in the right mind would bother to get this, but it’s great for casual gamers and for office peeps.

Digging deeper to what it can do, it has a DirectX 10 support to give you a boost on its performance. The makers aren’t fooling around as this has a hardware decode acceleration. If you’re not sure of what it does, it has the purpose of refreshing your HD entertainment.

I’m referring to your images, Blu-ray films on PC, videos, and other things. This also enhances your Windows 7 experience to a whole level – although we’re already way pass that version.

This has been built with NVIDIA unified architecture, this isn’t mind-blowing, but it does its job. It means that this card has a unified core which makes distributing the process power easier.

Basically, the power is being processed to geometry, vertex, physics, and even pixel shading operations. It gives you the advantage in a way that it delivers twice as much of a gaming performance compared to the previous generations of GPUs.

Since there’s clearly a lot of effort being placed into this card, this has a multi-threaded architecture. It supports threads simultaneously. This calls for an extreme processing efficiency for the next generation programs.

Let’s get our hands into NVIDIA Lumenex Engine – due to its neat feature, this has the capability of producing above-average image quality. At the same time, it has impressive frame rates as well. Overall, I’d say that this is a great card if you’re looking for something that’s reliable and cheap.

If there’s anything that I particularly like about this card, it’s its installation process. Don’t get me wrong, I’m no computer genius or anything, that’s why I give props to ASUS for making it easier for me.

​However, it’s a different story if you’re using a small form factor computer. You might need to do extra work, but it doesn’t call for any major effort. All you have to do is to switch the bracket that has been originally installed on the card in exchange for a smaller card – if it’s being included.

Let me give you a head’s up, there’s a huge chance that the picture won’t be as attractive as you’d like them to be – but that’s part of the set up. Once you have installed the driver software, the tables will be turned.

From my experience, it look spectacularly good being attached to a ViewSonic 1080 monitor, but if budget permits, a 27 inch 1440p monitor is absolutely recommended.. Seriously, there’s an evident difference between an HDMI cable and a VGA cable. Now, that’s what you call a bang for your buck.

In any case, ASUS gave it their all by making it a wonderful piece of product that lets you tweak around with the feature, which is always a good thing for me. But you also have the option to leave it as it is – I mostly depends on what your taste is.

I find the software mostly fun to check out. This lets you monitor the temperature of the card, I did that for a couple of times. Interestingly enough, it maintains a 40-45 degrees C regardless of what applications I’m using.

Now, I don’t use this card for any heavy titles – that would be a disaster. So I’d say it’s going to work if you’re not much of a hardcore gamer. Although I did have the chance to try on older gaming titles, and it worked fine. I didn’t push it to its limits though, if you’re curious.

It did win my heart over its consistent boost to the HS graphics for my older titles. In addition, it doesn’t make much of a noise, which is quite shocking. But then again, this only makes me love the card even more.

I have this strong belief that regardless of what your designated budget is, your PC deserves the best of what you can afford. We all know that this card won’t win any awards, but by how it’s being built, it has the capacity to deliver the latest graphics technology.

You’re going to lo love how it has an ultra-low power consumption – we don’t want to get any more extras, don’t we? You’re also going to notice that it holds a fan-less design as it makes it ideal for silent operation (like what I mentioned earlier.)

We have the HD 5450 to get the party started. First off, while I have the 1GB on my hands, you can choose 512MB if you want a lower-priced video card, although I’m pretty satisfied with the offered price already.

In any case, this one sleek card, I must say. Checking it out, the core has been initially clocked at 650MHz.

In addition, if you’re wondering about its memory clock speed, it’s at 1066 MHz.

Now, there are a lot of features that you’re going to love playing around with. It’s one of the best buy to get in the market as we speak – along with few others from our list.

One of which that’s worthy of mentioning is the card’s low profile brackets. Yeah, they were kind enough to include it in the package.

It plays an important role to the card’s compatibility with smaller form factor system. In addition, it does its job with cases as well. Since we’re all cheapskates here (it’s most probably true) I like how there’s no additional payment to get it – FREE STUFF RULES!

This carries an awesome fanless design, which I truly appreciate – hearing to unnecessary sounds while playing (or doing office work) is draining as hell.

There are certain cards which I’ve tried in the past that are of the same price range, and they’re nosy AF. Honestly, I’m glad I don’t have to go through hell with this one.

Correspondingly, it has the ability to maintain the GPU temperatures at a low levels. They are being kept within the ideal parameters, which makes everything easier.

It’s impossible to satisfy anyone with low-end parts, right? Right out of the box, you’ll be able to tell the difference between this gem right here and the other ones on the market. This has been made with professional grade components – a perfect fit for the pros (who are on a budget.)

This feature works to maximize your gaming performance or when you run though a couple of applications. Moving on to one of its best assets – it does an amazing job at keeping the card cool.

They have claimed that they don’t miss any details, and true to their word, it’s true. Going back to the components, it has included some important factors. I’m referring to the capacitors, ferrite cores, mosfet, fans, and brackets.

Remember: This has been built to last, it’s going to take more than a few years of usage to break this tough cookie. The only thing that would cause you to change this card is when you plan on upgrading.

They always say that first impression always lasts – and boy, this has proved that the saying was right.

Well, for this case at least. If you’re looking for a card that doesn’t disappoint, you might have already found the card for you.

Honestly, this is everything that anyone could ever want (in this price range, of course.) First, I’d like to begin that it’s as compactible as it can get.

It reduces the headache of installation – shout out to the people who aren’t inclined to tweaking around with their PCs. In addition, it’s a low-power video card, which makes it even better. And of course, it’s pretty darn silent to use.

ASUS deserves all the credit that it gets as they were able to pull something that has totally shocked the market. Also, you’ll find it great as it works perfectly fine with both PC and TV.

There are a couple of things I want to tell you first before you decide to get this. Just like with the other products on the list, this is also fanless. With that being said, it comes in with a giant finned heat sink that’s connected to the card.

Naturally, this has the chance of not fitting in your PC, and putting the card next to it might be a challenge as well.

But there are some good sides to not having a fun – you don’t have to worry about any moving components breaking, and just like what everyone wants, it’s as quiet as ninja assassins.

Now, I’m going to tell you something that’ll surprise the nation – it’s an old card! Well, obviously. What can you get at the price? So yes, if you expect it to run on new gaming titles, forget it. You have better chances of winning the lottery.

But if you’re going to look at the other side, it only means that it doesn’t eat as much electricity as the other modern video cards.

Talking from experience, I’ve tested it on my HDMI TV as well as on my VGA monitor. And guess what? The card was able to simultaneously handle the two of them.

There’s a catch though – this may or may not affect you – but the WMC is unable to run through any protected content. This was when my monitor wasn’t plugged properly, but it’s an easy fix though.

This comes in with an Exclusive 0dB thermal design which carries the important role of dissipating heat, it explains why it mostly runs cool throughout the use.

Due to its low profile, high-efficiency build, this would make a fantastic card for home theater PCs. Hell, you can even go for a whopping full HD 1080p entertainment, if you wish.

When it comes to the topic of gaming, most people are quite picky. Well, we’re all gamers here, right? It doesn’t matter if you’re a rookie, a casual player, or striving to be the best – all for the love of winning (and maybe a bit of prize money, too.)

Since we have that established, it’s only natural for gamers to ALWAYS want more.

It’s cool to have high standards for your gaming rig, but that also calls for a higher budget for your gears. Don’t worry though, that’s why we’re going to talk about EVGA – which everyone knows and love.

If you’re stuck on a low-budget, and you want to find something which can start a fire (not literally) then this is your best bet. You don’t have to suffer any longer – yes, even if you’re someone who isn’t “casually” just playing.

Surprisingly, this can get everything together. I’ve tried it on my games at home, and the experience was wonderful. Of course, I didn’t run it on high settings that would be impossible. It gives off a decent performance level at medium settings. They all played with better framerates as well.

Decided to experiment on GTA 4, and it was running on medium in 720p. And it went well – okay, it might not be the perfect gameplay, but it’s NEARLY as perfect as I would want it to be.

Before I decided to give this a go, I’ve had my hands on Radeon HD 4250, and the difference was as clear as the blue sky.

In my previous card, I only had it run at low settings with a sucky resolution rate, and it still wasn’t good enough. As a matter of fact, I even had to use Game Booster just so I can use it a reasonable state.

There are other games too which I’ve tried it on. I’m sure you’re familiar with Dead Island, Diablo II, Dishonered, Fable - The Lost Chapter, Skyrim, and the rest of the works.

Although there were certain games where I had to shift to low settings, it still didn’t give me any concerns (except for some minor ones.)

As for newer game titles, it’s a real fight. It doesn’t have enough power to take on modern games, but this probably one of THE best on the list.

Now, if you aren’t into gaming as much. Then you’re going to love how it performs with applications like Premier and Flash & Photoshop CS6.

Basically, I’m not praising this one to be a beast out on the battlefield, but if you play within its power, then satisfaction will most likely be assured. For the purpose that it was made for, it greatly excels.

When it comes to controlling the lord with the low-cost market, you already know how AMD is on a roll with its APUS. So yeah, it’s pretty popular with the people. However, not a lot of peeps bother to find out how it plays at a low-end price tag.

We’ve decided to go through the trouble of finding out what’s the real deal. We know AMD works, it’s known for rebranding their cards just so they could enhance the performance. At the same time, it introduces new technologies as well, which is pretty sweet.

They’ve gone through the trouble of stepping up their game by allowing great features like VSR, Mantle, Freesync, and Trueaudio.

The best part is that these have been made on their low-end cards for the users to utilize. In addition, you’ll also find its GCN Architecture Primed to aid in offering excellent performance for a card of this level. It also offers great image quality making it one of the best cards for gamers to choose.

Now, talking more about the R7 240 itself, this was released for years ago (back in 2013.) This has been built on 28nm process. In addition, it has been inspired by the Oland XT graphics processor.

If you’re going to look closer, you can see that this is a locked down version of the HD 8570. We’ve already established that this card is already a rebrand. However, it still has the advantages of the R9 & R7 series graphics cards.

This baby comes with a 320 stream processors. Now, it has a base clock at 730Mhz. As for its boost clock, this runs up to a whopping 780Mhz.

In the search for finding out what this baby can do, we’ve decided to test it out on some games we fancy. Although I did mention that this card is great, it doesn’t mean that it’s incredible by any means. As a matter of fact, the games were only at 1080p since its price is on the lower spectrum.

For all the LoL players out there, you’re in for a treat. We all know that LoL isn’t as demanding DoTa 2, right? It offers decent experience. However, there are times where the framerate would dip. But it can shrugged off as nothing more but an issue concerning Windows 10 rather than the card.

The experience for CS:GO was great! It’s one of the best games we’ve tried with the use of this card. Interestingly enough, we were able to max out the settings. It maintains 31 FPS, which is already playable.

As you can see, the experience for the gaming department is average. It doesn’t take a lot of power as well. It usually has a consistent 31 C. Although there are times where it would go as high as 57C – well, depending on how far you’ve pushed the card.

Once again, we’re leaving MSI to do end the whole thing. While we’re a huge fan of EVGA, MSI is still part of our Top 5 brands. In any case, if you’re looking for a card that would fit perfectly in your small form factor PC, then you should give this a go.

Naturally, you would want to get the highest performance possible while maintain a compact size with a decent heat output – the lower it is, the better.

Well, let’s dissect as to what it do. First off, the performance!

Before we decided to test this gem, we were sporting the processor integrated graphics. It was, Intel HD Graphics 4600. From what we’ve noticed from our previous card, when playing 3D games at low to medium settings, I was getting an unsatisfactory 25-50 frames per second.

Now, once this card was set to action, everything changed. It has raised the graphics quality almost twice as much, which was impressive. You’re going to be pleased to know that it runs at an impressive 90+ frames per second. So if you fancy 3D games, this one is one hell of a fighter.

Moving on, there are other factors which we have to consider – let’s talk about the size. As what you might have already guessed, this has the usual low profile height. In addition, you’re also getting low profile brackets along with the box, not to mention it only takes up one slot.

There’s something that you should be aware of. One of the things that shook me was its required power supply wattage. If you’re going to study the GTX750Ti design and some other GPUs, most of the power can only be obtained from +12V bus.

The test results have found it only needs 30 to 40 watts on average, but it would be more accurate to assume that it can go up to 50 watts. But aside from the minor issue, there’s nothing to worry about.

Overall, I’d say this is one of the best bang for your buck on the list. MSI has made this to be a reliable card that’s meant to withstand abuse.
